Purpose of this application

youtube-transcript is a private software application owned and operated by Steve Kellar. Its purpose is to retrieve transcripts and video metadata from the owner's own YouTube channel (STEVE KELLAR, @stevekellar) so the owner can build and maintain a personal knowledge base from his own videos.

The application signs in with Google OAuth and requests a single permission: read-only access to the owner's own YouTube account (the youtube.readonly scope). It reads channel and video information only. It does not post, edit, or delete anything, and it does not access Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, or any other Google service.

The application is used by its owner only. It is not offered to the public, has no sign-up, and collects no data from any other person.
